Beauty Comes in God’s Time- Ecclesiastes 3:11

Beauty Comes in God’s Time

God’s time… that is a difficult concept to grasp in the culture that we are immersed in today. We thrive on instant gratification, success, and beauty.

Examples–>

1.We planted an apple tree earlier this year. It is breaking my heart that we won’t be able to harvest apples for another year or so.

2. When we started beekeeping I was sooooo anxious to collect honey, but we had to wait a full year so that the bees would have enough for themselves.

3. I started a 15 Day Mommy Fit Challenge and I got discouraged when I couldn’t see a huge change after Day 2.

I could go on and on with more examples. This applies to our looks, money, career status, schooling, and just about every other aspect of our lives. We want what we want and we want it now….or yesterday.Beauty in Time-A Look at Ecclesiastes 3:11

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”

This verse reminds me that beauty and success take time and they take work. The apple tree that we planted may not give us apples this year, but next year we will overflow with them. We couldn’t collect honey in our first year of beekeeping, but now we are able to pull honey at least twice a year. We have also been able to make a small business out of it. I have gotten to the end of the 15 Day Challenge. I have toned up, lost some inches, and maintained a healthy weight for this trimester of pregnancy.

Just as we have to wait for the beauty of the things that we plant and for success in our careers, we also have to wait to experience the full majesty of God. He lets us catch glimpses now of his splendor, but he is making us wait for the fullness of it. If I thought that first taste of pure honey was heaven, I can’t wait to see what actual Heaven is like!

We have been out enjoying the beauty that God has allowed to grow over time at our home. Our horses were a little ornery when we first moved here. It has taken about 4 months of work to get them to where they are now, but the kids have always been beautiful;) Small glimpses.
